Rob Murdock grew up in Connecticut and started playing the piano at the age of 4. He is a composer of solo piano pieces as well as a producer and songwriter in a variety of musical genres. He graduated from the Berklee College of Music in the spring of 2017 with a BM in Songwriting.  In composing his recently released album Wonderland, he approached each song as if they were individual scenes in a movie and wants the listeners to be able to “see” what he “saw” when he wrote each song.

Rob also creates unique piano covers for his YouTube channel, which have been recognized by many. Here’s an article about his Meghan Trainor “Lips Are Movin” cover that was tweeted by Meghan herself.

Rob started studying classical piano at age 4.  He later picked up the trumpet and drums.  In high school, he started to dive into producing beats and instrumental cues, and eventually began producing tracks for himself to sing or rap on.  He put in his 10,000 hours on the piano and production.  He follows the Gladwell philosophy that this 10,000 hours is only the beginning…it’s the next 10,000 that determine success.
